When you spend time alone, the nights turn into magical meditations of sleepless dreams. Dreams that almost never come true. What one is left with is the residual bitter sweet, fading memory of a feeling that everything was OK. For us humans… OK has come to signify nirvana. OK is what I feel when I create pictures.
Rocky Mountain National Park is a chunk of paradise outside of Estes Park, Colorado and about 2 hours from Denver, CO. The drive up the winding roads to Estes Park is no laughing matter! I drive it late one night on a long road trip and it was quite a thrill and also a little scary. You got sheer drops on the side of the road and the road is pitch black at night. Once up in Estes Park, you feel like you have arrived in a photographers’ paradise! The hotels are cosy. There is a bit of mist in the air. The air is so clean you can feel it pulling impurities out of your tired city choked lungs. The mornings in Estes Park are so crisp and clear (on clear days) that you may as well start praying to your brand of deity in humiliation and wonder. Thats why I say I photograph with humility and reverence.
There are lakes, trees, vistas, birds, bears and flora to photograph for years!
Anyhow… check out some of my photographs from Rocky Mountain National Park…
Excellent video about body language and how other people percieve your status from your body language. WAtch and learn people!
Arches National Park in Moab, Utah, is what heaven should be. The weather is dry, crisp and very unpredictable! The environment is not human friendly most times. If you get lost or disabled in this environment, your fate is sealed. But we live in the 21st century and we have cars and SUV’s… so the chances of any mishaps in Arches National Park as slim. What you need to focus on in Arches National Park is photography! Take your DSL (I took my Nikon D800 DSLR) and start snapping, start appreciating the beauty of nature.
Here are some pics from my last trip…
